Get REAL solutions to REAL challenges in today’s schools!

Mamma J Video

Poverty, diversity, equity, excellence... these can pose unique challenges (and ultimately big rewards!) in effectively reaching, teaching, leading, and succeeding.

I invite you to join me in this movement and to take action to close relationship and achievement gaps, improve opportunities, and change outcomes for children of color and students who live in poverty. During our two days together, I will share my five “POWER Principles” and provide you with strategies, activities, and resources that will help you develop your own plan to ensure equity and excellence in your classroom, school, and district.

You’ll discover best practices for empowering and engaging diverse student populations, building relationships, supporting social and emotional learning, transforming trauma-sensitive environments, and partnering with parents and community organizations.

To address our shared urgency to change outcomes for underserved populations and to help students succeed, I promise to keep it real and tell it like it is!
